SHARON FRASER

1949 - 2006

Sharon Eva Fraser, beloved wife of Gordon, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Taber Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2006.   
Besides her husband, Sharon is survived by three daughters Cori-Lynn (Billy) King and Marla (Terry) McDonald of Lethbridge and Melissa (Corry) Leduc of Medicine Hat; the special treasures of her life, grandchildren Jessie, Kody and Kurtis;  a brother Laverne Crabb of Champion; sisters Neola Dann of Calgary and Mary Anne (Bill) Wylie of Yuma, Arizona; brothers-in-law Ron (Sharon) Fraser of Lethbridge and Bob Fraser of Taber and sister-in-law Karen (Wallace) Dorchak of Vulcan and also by numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents David and Irene Crabb and father and mother-in-law Alec and Jean Fraser.
Sharon was born in Vulcan, Alberta on February 23, 1949 and was raised on the family farm until she moved to Vulcan in 1959.  She married Gordon in 1968 and they moved to Taber in 1975.  She worked at Johnson's Drugstore in Taber for eight years, then joined her husband as secretary in the trucking industry.  She retired in 1993 and enjoyed going south for the past twelve years. Sharon's favorite pastime was golfing, making teddy bears and crafts.  She volunteered at the Taber Extendicare, was an active member of Knox United Church and was a life member of the UCW 67 Unit.  She loved her weekly bridge game.
Her pride and joy were her grandkids. She treasured the precious time she spent with each of them.

The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929-50 Ave., Taber on Wednesday, January 25, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta.
