GORD FRASER

1946 - 2006

Gordon Allan Fraser, beloved husband of the late Sharon Fraser of Taber, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the age of 60 years.
Gord is survived by his three daughters Cori-Lynn Fraser-King and Billy King, Marla (Terry) McDonald all of Lethbridge and Melissa (Corry) Leduc of Medicine Hat; the special treasures of his life, grandchildren Jessie, Kody and Kurtis; brothers Ron (Sharon) Fraser of Lethbridge and Bob Fraser of Taber and sister Karen (Wallace) Dorchak of Vulcan; a brother-in-law Laverne Crabb of Champion; sisters-in-law Neola Dann of Calgary and Mary Anne (Bill) Wylie of Yuma, Arizona and also by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Sharon January 21, 2006; his parents Alec and Jean Fraser and father and mother-in-law David and Irene Crabb.
Gord was born in Vulcan, Alberta on November 7, 1946 and was raised in Lomond. He married Sharon in 1968 and they moved to Taber in 1975. He was employed in the trucking industry for many years. Gord and his brother Bob owned and operated Hart Transport for a number of years. Gord then worked his way to owning several trucks for Hostess Frito-Lay. His journey then led him to become a partner with Kei Nishida in Taber Transport before retiring. For twelve years, Gord and Sharon spent their winters traveling south.
His pride and joy were his grandkids. He treasured the precious time he spent with each of them.

The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
