Helen Schmidt

1925 - 2016

Helen Margaret Schmidt (nee Gross), beloved wife of the late George Schmidt, passed away in Bow Island on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island, on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island, on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Private burial followed at the Bow Island Cemetery.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Neil (Eileen) Schmidt, Dallas (Richard) Mitchell, Brian (Dawn) Schmidt and Myron Schmidt all of Bow Island; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Tillie Thomas of Lethbridge and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband George Schmidt, son Wayne Schmidt, parents Jenny and Andrew Gross, infant brother William Gross, sister Lorraine Gross and brothers-in-law Albert Gross and Matt Thomas.
