Dolores Svensen

1937 - 2016

Dolores Faye Svensen, passed away in Taber on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the age of 79 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 15, 2016 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. 

 The Celebration of Dolores’ Life was held at the Youth Centre, 7211 - 50 Street, Taber on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.

 Dolores was born February 5, 1937 in Vermillion to Clem and Evelyn Park. She spent her early years in Minburn, Alberta. Dolores met and married LeRoy Murphy in 1956 and they spent their early years working throughout Alberta. They eventually settled in Taber in 1970 with their four children, Brad, Guy, Barb and Cathy. Moms early years in Taber were spent raising her children, gardening and working at Knox United Church in Taber. After many years she then married Gerald Svensen and continued to reside in Taber. She became a step-mom to Gale and Garth. Over the years Dolores and Gerald spent lots of time travelling and camping. Dolores enjoyed spending time with all the grandchildren on both sides. Dolores will be lovingly remembered by her ten grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great grandchild whom she loved spending time with, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
