It is with profound sadness, the family of Matthew Paul Waldner announced that he passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the age of 24 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, August 16, 2015 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Free Church, 5431 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.

Matthew loved and lived life to the fullest. He was a free spirit and somewhat of a daredevil. Matthew loved hunting, riding his quad and motorbike, fishing and camping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hockey and played minor league for many years growing up. Matthew was an amazing son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. He was honest, respectful and conscientious toward everyone he came into contact with; you could not help but be drawn in by his charm. Matthew graduated from W.R. Myers High School. He was a hard worker and was very loyal to Canelson Drilling who he started working for after he graduated high school. He has been with the company for seven years and was working his way up the ranks.

Matthew is survived by his parents Miriam and Ernest Waldner, his brother Cole, his grandmothers Annie Waldner and Elizabeth Stahl, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfathers Joe Waldner and Paul Stahl, his aunt Ruth Waldner and uncle Pete Waldner.

Matthew is loved and will be deeply missed!
