AL FRIESEN
1965 - 2015
Allan Arthur Friesen, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the age of 49 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.
Al is survived by his two daughters Nikole and Kiana of Lethbridge, who were the pride and joy of his life; his beloved fiancée Julie MacPherson of Lethbridge; father Clarence Friesen of Barnwell; twin brother Bert (Jennifer) Friesen of Taber; his other siblings Garry (Sherry) Friesen of Taber, Sharon Kopp of Creston, British Columbia, Elaine (Larry) Oddan of Coaldale, Doug (Laurie) Friesen of Lethbridge and Dustin (Leanne) Friesen of Taber. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Michele Harden; nieces and nephews Kyilee, Jolene, Terry, Corey, Bradley, Jennifer, Kassidee, Jordyn, Wade, Troy, Kennedy, Dwain, Evan, Brooke, and Lexi; mother and father-in-law Joe and Marion Mori; sister-in-law Bev Mori; stepchildren Alisha, Ashlee, Baylee, Jordan and Papa Al to Dominic and Teigan.
He was predeceased by his infant son Dallas; mother Liz Friesen and brother Scott Friesen.
Al was born eighteen minutes before his identical twin on July 16, 1965 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He moved with his family to Taber in 1975, where he graduated from W. R. Myers High School in 1984. Al ran a very successful business in Taber, Classic Hot Shot, with Bert until his passing. He loved to spend time with his girls, as well as camping, deep sea fishing, golfing and travelling. Al will be remembered by many for his infectious smile and contagious laugh.
