JACK JAMES
1922 - 2015
William John James, beloved husband of Rachele James, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 92 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, January 16, 2015 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore's Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Besides his loving wife Rachele, Jack is survived by his sons Kelly (Shauna) James of Lethbridge and their children Laeten and Talayna; Kevin James of Taber and his son Aiden; Lonny James of Taber and his children Austin and Craig. He is also survived by his sister Willa Wright; in-laws Vince Leismeister, Victor Cemulini, Frank Cemulini, Norma Dalton and Gene Cemulini as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by an infant son Terry Lee James; parents Evan K. and Beatrice James; sister Dorothy Leismeister; in-laws Ivan Wright, Louis Cemulini, Delco (Joyce) Cemulini, Eugene Cemulini, Angeline Cemulini and Allan Dalton.
Jack was born in Butte, Montana on October 31, 1922 to Evan and Beatrice James. At a young age he moved with his family to Taber where he lived until the time of his passing. He married Rachele Cemulini at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church in Taber on July 30, 1966. Together they raised their three sons on the family farm near Taber. Jack actively farmed for seventy years, retiring in 2012 at the age of ninety. Following his retirement they resided on the family farm until January 2014 when they moved into Linden View Care Centre. Jack was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
