FRED DANFORTH

1937 - 2015

With sadness, the family of Frederick Ernest Danforth, announce his passing in Taber on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the age of 77 years.
The Funeral Service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6004 - 51 Street, Taber on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.
Besides his loving wife Shirley, he is survived by their children Colleen (Thomas) Zeman of Powell River, British Columbia and family Sarah (Garret) Ryter and Candace (Paul) Racanelli; Wanda (Vern) Steinborn of Taber and family Randi, Johnathon (Ivanna) and Jesse (Melissa); Terry Ann Moline (Clint Fletcher) of Kelowna, British Columbia and family Kenneth, Scott, Tessa and Kimberley; Audrey (Darren) Stollings of Chilliwack, British Columbia and family Rebekah, Alexis and Mackenzie; Dwayne Danforth of Fort Macleod; Patricia Danforth of Lethbridge. His memory will also be cherished by his six great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Burrows, sister-in-law Sandra Danforth; Shirley’s family, Mike (Barb) Yakubowski, Jenny (Jim) Tomlinson, Ed Yakubowski and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Hazel Danforth; three brothers Francis (Alice) Danforth, Kenneth (June) Danforth and Donald Danforth; sister Helen (Mike) Zebroski; brother-in-law Sandy Burrows.
Fred was born at the family home near Shaunovan, Saskatchewan and was raised at Rolling Hills. He married Shirley Ann Yakubowski on November 15, 1961. They went on to raise their family of six children between the communities of Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Brooks before settling in Taber in 1967. Fred worked as an automotive mechanic for Superior Motors and Taber Chrysler. The family started a small cleaning company in 1985, which he was involved with until his health deteriorated. Fred enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends. He mostly loved talking to others about his love for his God, Jehovah.
