Mike was born October 8, 1958 after 10:00 P.M. on a warm Autumn evening. The strong family tie became a bond of two families, the Ross's and the Prefontaines. Together each did go forth and grow and now at best easily exceeds two hundred. There was nothing better than sharing memories with Mike or immediately starting to create memories at any given time, so we go beyond this great collection of family and add some really great personal friends. As time moves forward and many of our circumstances meet challenges and adjustments that result in new relationships and the coming together of more families.
Mike has taken on many things over the past fifty six years, starting in the city of Calgary, working in the mines, the trades as a builder, finishing carpenter, contracting, cement work, "hunting and gathering", meat processing, fishing, teaching hunter education, being a big part in Taber Fish and Game, farming and just collecting and selling new or used things that might someday be useful.
Mike loved his family very dearly, and surrounded himself with people he loved all the time. If you went for a visit he always made sure you had a good laugh, food and good company. His joy was making memories. Mike cherished his grandchildren and made sure that everyone knew it. His life was complete in every way. Please share in the celebration of his life.
