She is also survived by her sisters Ursula (Ludwig) Zogler of Edmonton, Christine Mitchell-Golda of Peace River, Liz Borau of Lethbridge and sister-in-law Rita McKeown of Lethbridge. Regina will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Wanda and Frank Golda.
Regina was born in Stendal, Germany in 1939, and moved to Kipp, Alberta, in 1953 with her family. In 1954 the family moved to Taber. Regina married Rudy Kiss on November 12, 1959, and they resided on the family farm, until 2006 when they moved into Taber.
Regina was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She had an amazing talent for cooking, baking, sewing and for making her home a welcoming place for family and friends. Mom loved to cook for her family and made the best homemade bread and gave much of it away to friends and family. Her kind and generous nature was abundant. She loved shopping and making regular trips “down south” to find various treasures or deals that she wasn’t able to find here at home. Mom treasured her grandchildren and spent countless hours with them. She was their most avid fan and supporter, as she watched them play hockey, baseball, swim and do other activities. Being a grandma gave mom the most joy, and the loving memories she has created for her family will be forever in our hearts and minds. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
