JACK KLASSEN

1932 - 2014

Jacob Klassen, beloved husband of Bette Klassen, passed away in Taber on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the age of 82 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society Room at the church prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 between 10:00 A.M. and 10:40 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Brock Campbell conducting. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Besides his loving wife Bette, he is survived by his children Patrick (Janice) Klassen of Lethbridge and Kevin (Verna) Klassen of Lethbridge; grandchildren Chad and Justin Klassen, Keagan and Kayla Klassen, Kristine Hemsley and Meagan (Kacey) Savoie as well as four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Edna (Larry) Lait of Sylvan Lake and Lenora (Mel) Hieb of Ponoka and sister-in-law Berniece Klassen of Edmonton.
He was predeceased by his first wife Phyllis Klassen, brother John Klassen.
Jack accomplished so much in his lifetime. Beginning school at the age of ten and being only fluent in German, he achieved his heavy duty mechanic license and diploma in horticulture. He also served on the Taber Town Council. In his spare time Jack enjoyed wood working, golfing and especially camping and fishing with his boys. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
