SAM EDWARDS

1932 - 2005

Mr. Samuel Hubert Edwards, beloved husband of Mrs. Yvonne Edwards of Taber, passed away peacefully at the Taber Hospital on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at the age of 72 years.
Besides his loving wife Yvonne, Sam is survived by his children Ruth (DeWayne) Holman, Brad Edwards, Barbara Edwards and by his grandchildren Dustin, Tyler, Shantelle and Clint Holman.
Sam was born October 8, 1932 in Goulburn, NSW, Australia. In 1953, he immigrated to Canada with his family. Here, he met and married the love of his life, Amy Yvonne Wright. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of his greatest joys was fulfilling a dream when he purchased a farm near Taber where he was able to farm using his beloved Clydesdales.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and at the church prior to the service on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:40 A.M.  
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Center, 4709 - 50 Avenue, on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. with Bishop David Walters conducting. Interment to follow at the Barnwell Cemetery.
