FRANCES SELVIG

1926 - 2014

Frances Madeline Melanie Selvig (nee Skoye), beloved wife of Vick Selvig, passed away peacefully in Bow Island on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the age of 87 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, August 10, 2014 between 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 104 - 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Mac de Waal officiating.
Besides her loving husband Vick, Frances is survived by their four children Dale (Deb) Selvig of Edmonton and their daughter Jennie; Dwayne (Roxane) Selvig of Lethbridge and their daughter Jaclyne; Joy (Barry) Underschultz of Sherwood Park and their family Christopher (Jessica) Underschultz, Lisa Underschultz (Dan Phillips), Tim Underschultz and Loreleigh (Wayne) Robertson; Daryl (Kim) Selvig of Medicine Hat and their family Tanya (Brian) Richards, Tammy (Sheldon) Hillier and Natasha Keller. She will be fondly remembered by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also had a special place in her heart for her “adopted” family, Bert and Yvonne Keupers and their family Nicole, Melissa and Tom.
Frances always treated everyone she met with kindness and respect. She was always ready with a witty comment or remark. She loved her family and appreciated everything life had to offer. She will be dearly missed.
