ADA FISHER
1904 - 2000
Ada Fisher of Taber, beloved wife of the late Bob Fisher, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2000 at the age of 95 years.
Ada was born at Wingate, Durham County, England on July 19, 1904. She married Robert McLean Fisher in 1925 and they ranched at Robertson Ranch (Chin Coulee). They moved to the Retlaw District in 1928 and in 1933 moved to the Stone Lease. In 1937 they moved to the Circle Hill District where they farmed and ranched until moving to Taber in 1974. Bob predeceased her in 1976. Ada moved to the Clearview Lodge in 1985 and for the past year has resided in Taber Continuing Care.
Ada is survived by two sons Ian (Pat) of Edmonton and children Margaret (Bill) Nugent, John (Susan) Fisher, Robert (Tessa) Fisher, Moira (Ken) Sarahs and Iana (Sean) Hackett; Norm of Victoria, British Columbia and children Louis, Dale, Dixie Lee (Gord) Garriott and Terry; thirteen great grandchildren; a sister Ella (Al) Stahl of Edmonton and a sister-in-law Ruth Fisher of Taber and also by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob; sister and brother-in-law Honor and Joe Engelson; two brothers Thom and Arthur and sister-in-law Christine.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church Taber on Thursday, June 29, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Dale Lang officiating. Burial followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
