ALMA CONNOR

1909 - 2001

Alma M. Connor who was born on October 8, 1909 in Taber, Alberta, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at the age of 92 years.
She was predeceased by her husband William Connor; daughter Marguarite Connor; two grandchildren, Diana Connor and Brian Wood and her brother Nels Malm.
Alma will be sadly missed by her children, Charles Connor, Betty Wood and Shirley Hleucka and a daughter-in-law Joy Connor.
She is survived by her nine grandchildren, Brenda Pollard, Keith Hleucka, Shannon Drake, Robert Wood, David Connor, Mat Connor, Allen Connor, Susan Connor and Carol Connor and nineteen great-grandchildren. A kind and gentle spirit, Mrs. Connor was loved by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 26, 2001 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Saturday, October 27, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Father Jim de los Angeles celebrant. Burial followed in the Vauxhall Cemetery.
A special thank-you to Dr. Jayne Hague for her caring support of Alma. Thank-you to the staff at the Rockyview Hospital unit 74 for their kindness and compassion.
