MARK LENZ
1969 - 2001
Mark Lenz of Seattle, Washington, beloved son of Pete and June Lenz of Taber, passed away in Seattle on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at the age of 32 years.
Mark was born in Taber on April 20, 1969. He was a member of the Taber Air Cadets, achieving the rank of WO2 and was awarded the Overseas Exchange Program to England and Scotland. Mark received his primary education in Taber, graduating from W.R. Meyers High School in 1987. His secondary education was obtained at the Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Architecture. At the time of his passing he was employed with Integrus Architecture of Seattle. For the past 19 months, Mark had fought a courageous battle against cancer and lived his life to the fullest during this time enjoying the outdoors and sailing.
Mark’s memory will be forever cherished by his parents, Pete and June Lenz of Taber; his brother, Patrick (Sandra) and their children Samantha and Nathan of Victoria, B.C. and his sister Jennifer Lenz and her fiance’ Chris Eriksson of Calgary.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, August 30, 2001 at 7:30 P.M. with Deacon Mike and Yvette Whalen officiating.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, August 31, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle celebrant. Burial followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
