MARNIE SUTTON
1941 - 2012
Marjorie Helen Sutton, beloved wife of the late Del Sutton of Vauxhall, passed away in Taber on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the age of 71 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell officiating.
Marnie is survived by three children Karen (Mark) Ferguson of Edmonton, Chris Brown (Joomi Kim) of New Jersey and Leah (Wade) Meier of Taber. She is also survived by her grandchildren Eric and Ian Ferguson and Nicki, Ryan and Sydney Meier; brother Don (Wally) Macgregor of Edmonton; sister Jane (Gord) Holmes of Courtenay, British Columbia and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Marnie was predeceased by her husband Del Sutton, parents Dr. John and Marjorie Macgregor and in-laws Claude and Margaret Sutton.
Marnie was happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren and camping with her husband Del, always with a dog in tow. She also loved working as a teacher's aide at both of the Vauxhall schools for many years, undoubtedly touching the lives of both students and staff. She was known for her passion for music, her charming, energetic personality and genuine interest in all those she met. Marnie had an undeniable spark and was often referred to as a "fire cracker". She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
