He spent the last sixteen years working with the staff at Southland Funeral Chapel serving the families of his community, many of whom he knew so well.
Whendy was an avid and competitive gardener who took a lot of pride in his yard. He loved sweets and was a cordial host, always wanting to know if you were hungry or if there was anything he could get for you. He enjoyed his morning ritual “coffeeing” with his friends at the A&W.
Whendy was a proud grandparent. He loved his grandkids and great grandkids and would always relish an opportunity to talk about them. He never missed an opportunity to tease and play practical jokes. Whendy was a kind and wonderful man who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone he knew.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Whendy’s name may be made directly to the Taber Hospital Foundation, 4326 - 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9.
