Margaret Ann Roth, beloved wife of Charlie Roth, passed away in Taber on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the age of 79 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 5:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Vincent TuanHa Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Besides her loving husband Charlie, she is survived by her sons Matthew Roth of Lethbridge and Eugene (Renate) Roth of Lethbridge; grandchildren Jason (Kelly) and their children Veronica and Ezra; Shane R. (Genevra) and their children Cole, Hayden, Zander and Nikita; Deanna and her children Kaela and Ryley; Michelle (Mark) and their children Joel, Jarid and Jordan; Nicole and her son Karter; Erin, Shane M. and Lesley and her children Nolan, Dylan and Raylie. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Catherine Miller, Loretta Schwartzenberger, Esther (Jack) Nelson, Herman (Sharon) Thielen, Paul (Violet) Thielen, Anna (Glen) Ellert and Louise (Kirt) Thompson.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Rose Thielen; sisters Frances Wilson, Barbara Giroux and Alma Elliott; brothers-in-law Elmer Miller and Lucien Giroux.
Margaret was born in Lethbridge on August 18, 1932 to Albert and Rose Thielen. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 1952 with a teaching degree. Margaret married Charlie Roth on July 21, 1953 in Allerston. She began teaching in 1952 at the Thelma, Alberta Reserve School and later at the Hays School, St. Mary’s School and finally at St. Patrick’s School where she retired from in 1988. Margaret was an avid crocheter and painter, as well she enjoyed making cards for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
