1932 - 2011

Alvin Norman Peterson passed away in Bow Island on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the age of 79 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 139 - 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Sheila McLeod officiating. Burial to follow at the Burdett Community Cemetery.
Alvin is survived by his brothers Grant (Beatrice) Peterson of Calgary, Larry (Sandi) Peterson of Lethbridge and Ken (Judy) Peterson of Lethbridge; sister-in-law Marlene Peterson of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Nels and Molfrid Peterson; brother Gordon Peterson.
Alvin was born in Bow Island on June 16, 1932 and was raised and schooled in Burdett. In 1979 Alvin purchased the family farm where he lived for the next ten years. In 1989 he moved to Burdett where he resided until he moved into the Pleasant View Lodge in Bow Island. For the last year and a half Alvin has resided in the Extended Care at the Bow Island Health Centre.
