JIM KOESTER

1918 - 2000

Maurice Fredrick Koester, beloved husband of Daisy Koester, passed away in Taber on Sunday, March 26, 2000 at the age of 81 years.
Jim was born in the Wood Mountain district of Saskatchewan on June 19, 1918. Being born and raised in this area, Jim had felt a special bond of his home land, enjoying the wildlife and the land which surrounded him. On March 16, 1948 he married Daisy and together they farmed and ranched near Wood Mountain. In the spring of 1997 they moved to Taber.
Besides his wife Daisy, Jim will be lovingly remembered by his children Avis (Lane) Jacobson of Taber and Alphonse (Joan) Koester of Moose Jaw; his granddaughters Lansing Jacobson and Chris and Lynn Koester and a sister-in-law Merle.
He was predeceased by two brothers Loin Koester and Ivan Koester.
The Funeral Service was held at the Ross Funeral Home, Assiniboia, Saskatchewan on Thursday, March 30, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Rick Aupperle officiating.
