Milon was born in Haileybury, Ontario on April 27, 1910 and moved to Purple Springs with his family in 1918 where he received all of his education. Milon worked on a sheep ranch near Brooks and several other ranches and farms, then joined his father’s construction company. Many of the buildings built by them are still standing today. He then ran his own business as a finishing carpenter in Taber until he moved to Lethbridge in 1965. He then worked at a trailer manufacturing plant until his retirement. In 1992 he moved back to Taber where he resided at the Clearview Lodge until his passing. Milon was a member of the Royal Order of Moose and throughout his life he enjoyed boxing, dancing, bowling, card playing and spent many hours doing word puzzles. In his later years, Milon’s response to “how are you doing?” was, as he moved his hands in an outward motion, “well, here I am”. Milon’s first words to God as he departed from earth and entered God’s Kingdom were, “well God, here I am”.
