ETHEL TURNBULL

1912 - 2000

Ethel May Turnbull (nee Crozier) beloved wife of the late Allison “Shorty” Turnbull, passed away in Taber on Friday, February 18, 2000 at the age of 87 years.
Ethel was born at Success, Saskatchewan on October 22, 1912 the daughter of Thomas Crozier and Lavina Pickett. She received her schooling at Success and married Allison Turnbull on April 29, 1936. Ethel and Allison farmed in the Success area retiring to Swift Current in 1977. Allison predeceased her in 1978. In 1988 Ethel moved to Taber settling in Pioneer Place. In 1997 she became a resident of the Taber Continuing Care.
Ethel leaves her daughters to cherish her memory, Bette (Jack) Klassen of Taber and Bonnie (Eugene) Goertzen of Fort McMurray; a brother Orville (Marjorie) Crozier of Success, Saskatchewan; a son-in-law Jack Kennedy of Abbotsford, British Columbia and a sister-in-law Peggy Crozier of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren Jacqueline (Ralph) Goring, Joanne Kennedy, Julie Kennedy, Shawn (Kathleen) Goertzen, Carmen Higo, Wade Goertzen, Patrick (Janice) Klassen, Kevin Klassen as well as nine great grandchildren.
Besides her husband Allison, she was predeceased by a daughter Thelma Kennedy and a brother Emerson Crozier.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the church prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 from 1:15 P.M. to 2:15 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 at 2:30 P.M. with Bishop Larry Taylor conducting. Interment was held at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
