ELNA EDLUND

1931 - 2001

Elna Mary (Magnusson) Edlund, beloved wife of Paul Edlund, was born February 13, 1931 in Medicine Hat to parents Vera Laura McLellan and Swan Rudolph Magnusson, passed away at home in Bow Island on February 19, 2001.
Besides her loving husband Paul, she is survived by her children Lauren Paul (Jane) Edlund and their children Aaron, Amanda and Brant; Laura Lee (Bob) Van Tol and their children Chelsea, Michael and Julien; Cynthia Louise (Owen) Cleland and children Kirsten (Steve) deWinter, Brooke and Kelan; Morgan Douglas (Connie) Edlund; and special added joy to our family great grandchildren Brannon, Hailey and Caydin.
Elna is reunited in Heaven with her parents; infant son Douglas; twenty one year old son Randolph and also by Paul’s parents, brothers, sisters and their spouses.
To cherish her memories are family Maria, Jerome and Celia McLellan, Leona Weeks with children Mel Edlund, David Edlund, Gerald Edlund and Bev Hadlington, Marilyn Kirk and Val Werner, Bill Green and Betty Anne Kolody, Karen Lanser, Del and Rick Peterson and their spouses and families.
Paul and Elna celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with family and friends on April 7, 2000. Elna celebrated her seventieth birthday with friends and family on February 13, 2001 from morning until night.
Her love of visiting was displayed everyday on any corner. She
had a special gift of making everyone feel comfortable on first meeting. Please celebrate her life.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 139 - 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Friday, February 23, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jeff Crittenden officiating. Interment followed in the Burdett Cemetery.
