1983 - 1999

Troy Michael Knibbs, beloved son of Robin and Connie Knibbs of Bow Island, passed away on Monday, December 6, 1999 at the age of 16 years.
Troy was born on September 26, 1983 in Bow Island. He attended school at Senator Gershaw School and was involved with the youth group at the Evangelical Free Church. Troy enjoyed to work along side of his dad at the hardware store and collecting Beanie Babies and Taco Bell dogs. In his leisure time he listened to music, played video games and worked with his computer. Being a sports enthusiast he was involved with many sports which included playing hockey with the Bow Island Midget Rebels, the Senator Gershaw High School Baseball Team, waterskiing and snow skiing.
Troy’s memory will be forever cherished by his mom and dad, Robin and Connie and by his brothers Scott, Mark and Brock and the families pet dog K.C. He is also survived by his grandparents Maxine Knibbs and Walter and Eleanor Spotowski; his God Parents Andrea Beres and Blaine Knibbs as well as numerous aunts and uncles and his cousins Grant, Ryan, Daniel, Sarah, Peter, Nicole, Colby and Cole.
Troy was predeceased by and will be reunited with his grampa Bert Knibbs.
Relatives and friends met for Prayers at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Bow Island on Thursday, December 9, 1999 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at Senator Gershaw School, Bow Island, on Friday, December 10, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Dominic Nguyen, Reverend David Meadows and Reverend Dan Stevenot, Con-celebrants. A private family interment followed at the Bow Island Cemetery.
