EDIE THACKER

1911 - 1999

Edra Thacker (nee Keyes), beloved wife of the late George Thacker, passed away in Bow Island on Friday, November 12, 1999 at the age of 88 years.
Edie was born in Bow Island on October 9, 1911 the daughter of William and Florence Keyes. She married George Thacker on October 31, 1930 and together they farmed and resided in the Bow Island and Burdett areas.
Edie leaves her children to cherish her memory, a daughter Dolores (Dyson) Gaudet of Powell River, British Columbia and a son Albert (Violet) Thacker of Taber; daughter-in-law Dorothy Thacker of Burdett as well as fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband George, she was predeceased by a daughter Bertha Corraini and a son Walter Thacker; her parents Bill and Florence (nee Hoerman) Keyes; one brother, four sisters and son-in-law Bob Corraini.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, November 15, 1999 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 139 - 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Jeff Crittenden officiating. Interment followed at the Burdett Cemetery.
