1936 - 2001

Bill Klok, beloved husband of Jean Klok of Barnwell, passed away in Calgary on Monday, January 15, 2001 at the age of 64 years.
Bill was born in Holland on April 17, 1936 the son of Hendrik and Willemke Klok. He came to Canada in April of 1951. He spent much time on the farm in the Riverbend area and also farmed in the Burdett area for sixteen years. On November 8, 1968, he and Jean were married. Bill and Jean also spent fifteen years doing janitorial work. Bill was a content, happy man who took life as it came. He was a simple yet dignified man who maintained a sense of humor. Bill ran his own business as Bill’s Small Engine Repair. He was inquisitive when it came to mechanics and enjoyed to “tinker” whether it be taking engines apart or putting them back together. He also loved to spend time in his garden.
Bill will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife Jean of Barnwell; children Lucinda (Ted) Dykstra of Burdett and Wilmer (Rhonda) Klok of Coaldale; sisters Geesje Rispens of Holland and Rika (Peter) Zuidof of Taber; brothers Jan (Gerrie) of Holland, Henry (Evelyn) of Vernon, British Columbia, John (Jewel) of Taber, Hank (Helen) of Taber and Bob (Alice) of Calgary; Jean’s family Minnie (Steward) Andringa of Niton Junction, Alberta, Bill Stad of Houston, British Columbia, Fred (Tina) Stad of Smithers, British Columbia, John (Eva) Stad of Victoria, British Columbia, George Stad of Smithers, British Columbia, Tina Stad of Smithers, British Columbia, Roelof (Dina) Stad of Holland and Tom (Janet) Stad of Niton Junction, Alberta and also by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents Hendrik and Willemke Klok.
The Interment Service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at 11:00 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Mike Vandyk officiating.
