HARRY LEHENKY

1916 - 1999

Harry Lehenky of Taber, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 1999 at the age of 83 years.
Harry was born on January 9, 1916 in Russia. In the early forties he married Alexandra Hahin and on April 18, 1949 they came to Canada settling in southern Alberta where he worked in the sugar beet fields. Harry lived in Medicine Hat for a number of years and for the past year had been a resident of Clearview Lodge in Taber. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, carpentry, gardening and taking pride in his yard.
Harry is survived by a nephew Scott (Ashley) Allen of Taber, sister-in-law Helen Hahin of Taber and other relatives in Russia.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Alexandra.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
