MARY CSEKE

1927 - 2003

Mary Cseke, beloved wife of the late Alex Cseke, passed away suddenly at Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the age of 76 years.
Mary was born on March 6, 1927 at Transcona, Manitoba to Peter and Theresa Kronstein. She moved from Regina to Taber when she was eight. Mary was kept busy in her life as a farm wife, mother and secretary of the Taber Bend REA. She later held the position of secretary at the Taber High School and the Sugar Factory. Throughout her later life she was active in the community as a volunteer at the Taber Museum, was a member of the Arts and Crafts Centre where she loved to weave and was a member of the U.C.W Progressive Unit of the United Church. For the past year she has resided in Canmore, Alberta with her daughter Linda.
Mary will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her four children Peter (Imogene) Cseke and Tom (Irene) Cseke of Taber, Richard (Anne) Cseke of Lethbridge and Linda Cseke of Canmore; grandchildren Heather (Sean) Ashlee of Calgary, Tyler Cseke, Logan Cseke, Colby Cseke and Rennie Cseke of Lethbridge and great grandson Blake Ashlee of Calgary.
She was predeceased by her husband Alex Cseke, parents Peter and Theresa Kronstein and grandson Kevin Cseke.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, January 2, 2004 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
