VIOLET EDWARDS

1922 - 2003

Violet Edwards, beloved wife of Jay Edwards, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the age of 80 years.
Vi was born in Taber on October 28, 1922, a daughter born to Peter and Alice Woods. She met and later married Jay Edwards and were married in July of 1940. The couple lived in Taber, Blairmore and retired to Fort Macleod numerous years ago. Due to failing health, Vi made her final move to Lethbridge where she was a resident of St. Michael’s Health Centre.
Through the years she enjoyed many trips to California where she would spend time and visit her sister. Her quiet nature and thoughtfulness will be missed by her children and grandchildren.
Vi is survived by her husband Jay; two sons, Garry (Denise) Edwards and Richard Edwards; six grandchildren, two brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vi was predeceased by her parents and a sister.
A Private Family Graveside Service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden.
