DARREL COLLINS

1921 - 2003

Darrel John Collins, beloved husband of Virginia Collins, passed away at the Bow Island Health Centre on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at the age of 81 years.
Born in Butte, Montana to John and Nette Collins, Darrel lived in the Burdett area all his life where he farmed with his sons. Darrel was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapshooting in his later years.
Besides his devoted wife Virginia, Darrel will forever be remembered by his children and grandchildren: son, Dennis (Julia) Collins and their family Scott (Natalie) - Kaleb and Jessica, and Tanya; son, Gary (Arlene) Collins and their family Chris and Kerry (Darcy) - Haley and Alyssa; daughter, Sandra ‘Sandy’ (Dwayne) Pregitzer and their son Kevin; and son, Randy (Marie) Collins and their family Lee, Deven and Shaila; brother, Clarence (Viola) Collins and a sister-in-law, Leila Collins. Darrel was predeceased by his sister, Myrtle Firman and his brother, Eugene ‘Shorty’ Collins.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 139 - 2nd Avenue West, Bow Island on Monday, January 20, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead of the United Church of Canada officiating.
