CHRIS KRESS

1958 - 1998

Christopher Kress went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 22, 1998 at the age of 40 years.
Chris was born on May 28, 1958 in Taber. Until the age of eleven, he lived in Hays before moving to Taber with his parents where he has resided until the time of his passing. Chris’ life was in the oil field which he has worked since the age of eighteen. Chris will be remembered for his love of the outdoors; spending much of his time camping and fishing. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his wife Patricia; a daughter Crystal (Jim) and stepsons Noel (Rene) and Derek; three grandchildren Austin, Erick and Richard; his parents Leo and Henrietta Kress; four brothers Jerry (Lorraine), Marcel (Irene), Bill (Janell), Steve (Wilma) and a sister Georgette (Gerry) Sauve. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Grace Russell; sisters-in-law Irene Russell and Charlotte; brothers-in-law Donald (Carol) and Ray (Linda) as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Samual; a nephew Corey Kress; his grandparents and several cousins.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, August 26, 1998 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, August 27, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Dick Marino Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
