ORLEAN KERNER

1929 - 2011

Alice Orlean Kerner (nee Jensen), beloved wife of the late Joe Kerner, passed away in Lethbridge with her family by her side on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the age of 81 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church prior to the funeral service on Friday, September 30, 2011 between 11:00 A.M. and 11:40 A.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. with President Richard Sugden conducting. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Orlean is survived by her children Randy (Jane) Kerner of Pritchard, British Columbia, Ronald (Teresa) Kerner of Coalhurst, Dale Coombs of Taber, Kelly (Rose) Kerner of Coaldale, Casey (Carrie) Kerner of Lethbridge, Robert (Tracy) Kerner of Barnwell, Hollie (Jeff) Walker of Sylvan Lake, Lynnece (Jeff) Torgunrud of Lethbridge, Wade (Cathy) Kerner of Taber, Jaylene (Randy) LaRose of Taber, Coralee (Duane) Leth of Taber; forty one grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Kerner; daughter Shelly Coombs; parents Anthony & Arta Macie Jensen; her siblings Alan Jensen, Urael Jensen, Grant Jensen, Lloyd Jensen, Darrel Jensen, Lucille Valgardson, Vida Wilson, Eulala Anderson, Mattie Peterson and their spouses.
Orlean was born in Taber on December 1, 1929 to Anthony & Arta Macie (nee Hill) Jensen. She married Joseph William Kerner on June 19, 1948 and together they raised eleven children.
Orlean’s life was devoted to her husband, her family and her faith. She enjoyed dancing, music, cooking, sewing, gardening, her faith and most of all, her family.
Orlean’s love for her family, her kind, gentle and caring spirit and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all who were close to her.
