ALEX CSIKI

1915 - 1998

Alex “Sandor” Csiki, beloved husband of Mary Csiki of Taber, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 1998 at the age of 83 years.
Alex was born at Bucharest, Romania on March 16, 1915 and remained there serving on the Romanian Police Force. He married Mary Reis on November 20, 1947 and two years later emmigrated to Canada from Austria settling in the Turin area. In 1957 they moved to the Taber area where they have resided ever since.
Besides his wife Mary, Alex is survived by his children Annie (Walter) Ankermann of Iron Springs, Matilda Visser of Lloydminster and Gloria (John) Sinclair of Taber; six grandchildren David (Katie) Ankermann, Sandy (Jim) Neels, Tony Ankermann, Angie Ankermann and her special friend Brad Kelly, Tania Visser and Jason Sinclair; five great grandchildren, Ashley and Wesley Neels, Mitchell and Nicholas Ankermann and Haylee Ankermann.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, April 28, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, April 29, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend David Meadows Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
