JOYCE KARREN
1922 - 1998
Our Heavenly Father has suddenly taken our Mother and Grandmother, Joyce L. Karren of Taber, beloved wife of the late Clinton Karren, on Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at the age of 75 years.
She was born in Deal Kent, England on March 24, 1922. She left England as a war bride and resided in Picture Butte and since 1949 has resided in Taber.
She is survived by her children Keith (Diane) of Provo, Utah, Walt (Donna), Suzanne, Sharlene and Harold (Candy) all of Taber. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Scott, Holli, James, Brady, Mandy, Miranda, Kim, Andrea, Gaelen, Warren and Cameron; also her sister Ruby (Mike) Hewitt and brother Raymond (Eve) Shorter of Minster Kent, England and a brother Douglas (Flo) Shorter of Plympton Devon, England; her in-laws LaRue (Elmo) Fletcher and Lillian (Art) Baldry of Lethbridge, Fred (Luella) of Picture Butte, HelenDean (Boyd) Huntsman of Shelley, Idaho, Joanne Moser of Coaldale and NaRae (Ron) Peterson of Calgary and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Clinton and grandson Brandon.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren who she loved to bake cookies and make home made chocolates for. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Parkside Choralairs.
Joyce was kind hearted, loving, and a joy for all who new her. She will be sadly missed by all and welcomed with open arms on the other side.
Relatives and friends met with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, March 19, 1998 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Taber Third Ward LDS Chapel on Friday, March 20, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Richard Sugden conducting. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
