DAVE WILLIAMSON

1937 - 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Stuart Williamson, beloved husband of Lori Williamson of Enchant, who passed away at home on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the age of 73 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Enchant Community Hall, Enchant on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeffery Frostad officiating.
Besides his wife Lori, Dave is survived by his four children Pat (Shawna) Williamson of Hythe, Lori-Ann (Derrick) Sullivan of Calgary, Ron Williamson of Stettler, Doug Williamson of Coaldale and grandchildren Justin, Hailey, Cadence, Fayt and Ronin. He is also survived by his sister Mary Gillard; four brothers Alec, Mac (Rhonda), Cecil (Vi) and Bill Williamson; sister-in-law Audrey Williamson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Alexander & Bessie Williamson, daughter Margaret Ann Williamson, brother Ronald Williamson and brother-in-law Hugh Gillard.
Dave was born in Coronation on August 6,1937. He started working in the oil patch at the age of fourteen and never stopped. At seventy three, he still very much enjoyed working and was well known and respected in the oil industry. If there’s oil in heaven, that’s where Dave will be. He was a family man. Dave was involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren and was proud of their every accomplishment. He loved to go to their recitals, soccer games, and hockey games where you could hear the nervous jingling of the change in his pocket. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Dave’s name may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, Box 2211, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 4K7.
