Betty was born in Trafalgar County, Ontario on September 21, 1933. Her family moved to Alberta in 1938. After high school she trained in Medicine Hat as a registered nurse and worked at the Municipal Hospital in Lethbridge. She married Bill in 1956 and moved to the farm. There they raised their three children. Betty worked hard on the farm side by side with Bill. They enjoyed community functions and playing cards with family and friends. In 1980 they moved to Taber but still actively worked on the farm. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and spending time with her family. Betty always put the needs of others over her own. In later years she enjoyed having coffee and Sunday morning breakfast with her friends as they were very special to her. Betty will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all her family and friends.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Betty’s name may be made directly to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 724 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta T1H 2T1.
