VICKY FRIESEN
1938 - 2011
Victoria B. Friesen, beloved wife of the late Herman Friesen, passed away in Taber on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the age of 72 years.
A celebration of Vicky’s life will be held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Wil Stonehill officiating.
Vicky is survived by her children “little” Herman (Darlene) Friesen of Calgary, Terry (Susan) Friesen of Lethbridge, Melonie (Randy) Weiss of Taber, Alex Friesen of Lethbridge; daughter-in-law Darlene Friesen of Taber and many much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Larry (Evelyn) Chartrand of Winnipeg, Pat Chartrand of Red Deer, Mona (Steve) Lebsack of Kitscoty, Ken (Loretta) Chartrand of Edmonton and Danny (Deb) Chartrand of Edmonton; sister-in-law Betty Chartrand of Moose Jaw as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Alex & Eleanor Chartrand; husband Herman Friesen; two sons Randall Friesen and Allan Friesen; great grandson Jonathon Friesen; siblings Allan Chartrand, George Chartrand and Boyd Chartrand; sister-in-law Marie Chartrand.
Vicky was born October 30, 1938 in Rockglen, Saskatchewan. She married Herman Friesen in 1955 and started raising a family. Vicky loved and cared deeply for her family and friends. She enjoyed get togethers with her family, but most of all, Vicky cherished the times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and greeted with smiles and hugs. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all.
