Adeline Barbara Kimmitt, beloved wife of the late Tommy Kimmitt, passed away in Bow Island on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the age of 96 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island, on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 5:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Fred Monk Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Bow Island Cemetery.
Adeline is survived by her daughters Sandra Jensen and Marilyn Kimmitt of Banff; grandchildren Trevor (Alannah) Jensen of Banff and their children Logan and Evynne; Lexie Jensen (Craig Bremer) of Calgary; sisters-in-law Zyla Wentz of Lethbridge and June Judkins of Bow Island as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Adeline was born in Warner on December 21, 1914 to Charles and Anna (nee Pittman) Troidl. She married Tommy Kimmitt after the war in 1946. Adeline remained on the family farm in Foremost until Tommy’s passing in 2000 when she moved to Bow Island. She moved in to Pleasant View Lodge where she enjoyed visiting and participating in the daily activities. Adeline enjoyed reading, word searches and cherished her time spent with grandchildren.
