Henny Haugen

1927 - 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henny Haugen, beloved wife of the late George Haugen, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 90 years.

A private burial service was held at the Foremost Cemetery on Friday, December 15, 2017.

Henny is survived by her children Marion Haugen of Etobicoke, Ontario; Joyce (Jerry) Fawns of Taber and their family Michelle (Vern) Depeel, Darren (Amy) Fawns, Karla (Jay) Whitehead and Kevin (Virginia) Fawns; Judy (Steve) Cowan of Comox, British Columbia; Karen (Darrell) Hougen of Foremost and their family Shannon (Kristoffer Shiloff) and Brandon Hougen; Jackie’s children Jason (Kandis) Lozano, Justin Lozano and Josh Lozano. Henny is also survived by twenty one great grandchildren and by numerous family throughout Canada, the United States and Holland.

She was predeceased by her husband George Haugen on January 1, 1998, her daughter Jackie Lozano on January 11, 2000 and grandson Jeremy Lozano on July 27, 2011.

Henny was a war bride who came to Canada in 1946, residing in Raymond where their children were born. They moved to Foremost in 1958 where they raised their family. She moved to the Bow Island Pleasant View Lodge in August 2014. She enjoyed her time there making many new friends and renewing old friendships.

Henny and George enjoyed camping, travelling and most of all the annual Haugen family reunions where everyone got together for fun and games and lots of visiting. Henny didn't miss very many reunions which started in 1951.

Henny was a Lifetime Member of the Foremost Ladies Auxillary.
