Jan Lanser

1925 - 2017

Jan Lanser, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Nell Lanser, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the age of 91 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1818 - 5 Avenue South, Lethbridge on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. The Burial Service followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery at 2:30 P.M. 

 Jan and Nell Lanser left the Netherlands in June 1953 and settled in Vauxhall, where Jan was employed with the federal government. After four and a half years they took a trip to the old country to see if they had done the right thing by moving to Canada. The came right back and began a thirty five year farming career west of Vauxhall. Jan and Nell lived on NE 6-13-16-W4. They retired to Lethbridge in May of 1994.  

They raised five kids John, Rodney, Donald, Arthur and Sharon Ann. Donald Passed away in November of 1979 and Nell passed away in October of 2016.

Thanks to the Lord, they had a good life on this planet.
